The road from Heceta Head to Florence was unremarkable and Florence itself was a little sad but I did stop for lunch as I was running out of gas. I felt like watching "The Ghostbusters" but this place unfortunately didn't do digital downloads. But I like the sign.

Heading towards Gardiner I thought this was the Umpqua River but it's just it's little brother the Smith River forking off.

Stopped in Reedsport for a coffee break. It was a neat town, clearly a happening spot years ago.

Here is a neat little market in Lakeside. I cannot vouch for the selection as I didn't go in but I really liked the hand painted signage.

Was planning on camping outside of Hauser but decided to go on partly because I felt great like I could ride another 65 miles and partly because I'm morally opposed to staying in commercial RV parks. Right before I took the long bridge over to North Bend I snapped this picture of the back side of the Oregon Dunes. Looks like it would be fun to zip around in one of those cool dunebuggies.
