These trees clearly are at the mercy of the wind.
I wonder if these guys appreciate their view.
Stopped in Ocean Cove for a long break. This is where I got my ice cream 🙂
These are on the way to Fort Ross
Then I came upon Fort Ross a Russian settlement that was the hub for the west in the early 1800s. It doesn’t surprise my as the surrounding countryside looks like the Russian segment of the ‘it’s a small world’ ride at Disneyland 🙂
There was along climb from Fort Ross to Jenner that was a series of ups and downs on a nice winding road right on the coastline.
Stopped at this place on the edge of Jenner for some coffee to charge me up for the last 10 push. It was an organic coffee shop run by rich gay hippies. And there was this old hippy that was trying to tell me where a good camp spot was but kept getting confused cause he was so high 🙂
The last push into Bodega Bay went pretty quick with more rolling hills but I was ready to stop so pushed it. With breaks for pictures of course.
Tried to find a motel, didn’t see any. Finally stopped at this in that was full but the guy called this other place down the road and secured me a reservation which I thought was really nice. So I trucked the half mile to here. My home for the night.
And now it’s time to relax…
