Today started out great. Got an early jump on the day (although unfortunately I did not make my destination and stopped after a long day in Santa Cruz.
But I was talking about this morning. It was a nice start with pretty quiet roads.
Montara clearly enjoys its surplus store. I bet the warehouse is located somewhere else
The road from Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz was beautiful. It was hilly at first then became pretty fast. There were a lot of snobby cyclists out and a few nice ones too 🙂 met a a couple tourers (I thought there’d be more).
And I believe this is the Pigeon Point Lighthouse. The colors were amazing.
Then it was back on the road toward Santa Cruz.
You can’t really see but the kite surfers were out in full effect.
Even LHT was tired and decided to lay down.
Finally got to Santa Cruz and was quite happy to be down pushing down the road for the day. Stopped at a few bike shops to get a cycling cap. I can’t seem to find one anywhere. I’ve been looking since Bandon, OR!
I called up your friend and mine Jeri’s sister Marie in Santa Cruz and after I got checked into my motel met up with her and her granddaughter for a bit.
It was an absolute pleasure and a lot of fun to talk with her about the why nots and what nots.
So thank you very much for your time Marie it was fun meeting you and your granddaughter 🙂 who was kind enough to snap the photos.
And clearly here I said something witty and hilarious 🙂
Said goodbye to them and set off back to my home for the night to wash up and hunt for some dinner.
So that’s it for today. Tomorrow I hit Morgan Hill and have a lovely fun visit with my awesome cousins and my sweet aunt Eva 🙂 I know I said that yesterday but this time I mean it!
