Day 77 Tobermory-Owen Sound
Day 77
I got a late start this morning mainly because I wanted to have breakfast and I had to wait till 8 and I also planning on Staying with a host in Owen Sound and she won’t be home till 6. As I was drinking my coffee I saw the Ruru’s ride past getting a late start as well.
Once I got going I decided to stop in at Bruce Peninsula National Park. And road the extra 5km to get there then hiked out to the Grotto, A beautiful spot and already getting packed with swimmers at 9:30 in morning. I missed the really cool part of Bruce Peninsula as it was on the North Side and I was not in the mood to backtrack.
After about 40km I took a side road that would eventually get me to a grocery store for lunch and I’m glad I did, I was a nice quiet 35km of road that went along the water and through some nice little villages.
Not a bad stop for lunch Eh?
Wiarton, ON was a cool town I wish I stayed longer, but I just had time for an Ice Cream before hitting the road again. It was a blistering hot day with some high humidity, not the conditions for an enjoyable day. But despite all that the ride was absolutely lovely.
But first more barns 🙂
Not a barn, it’s Owen Sounds Drive-In!
After getting into town I had a snack and got a few things done and contacted Karen my host. After some time and a bit of confusion on my part on directions I made it to her house. Karen was an amazing host and a pleasure to talk with, she also has a super energetic a friendly dog that was fun end to a long day
