Day 84 Oshawa-Cobourg
Got an early jump on the day and the ride to Cobourg was quite nice travelling through a myriad of trails and local roads. Always nice to get off the highway and an extra bonus to ride along the waterfront.
A nice lunch stop in the beautiful little town of Port Hope proved to be fortunate as we were reminded of another long holiday weekend, this one is the Civic Holiday. We began to suss out accommodations in Cobourg which proved to be a daunting task, luckily we rang a city campground right on the water who had two tent spots open for the night. Unfortunately we couldn’t share a spot (with two tents) due to some weird policy. SO for 45$ CAD I was able to pitch my tent and enjoy the beach for a little swim, it was a very nice campground and the location was great.
Here is a bit of of day to Port Hope:
Oshawa is the home of General Motors of Canada which might explain some of it’s oddness
These two Ruru’s snapping a picture of a nice barn while I snap a picture of then snapping a picture of a nice barn.
Port Hope was a nice town, the kind of place you just watch the happens happen:
The town of Cobourg proved to be equally as charming as Port Hope, the Campground and waterfront was a block from downtown and a summer block party.
Not a bad view from a campsite if I do say so myself
The Sunset was beautiful, the colors were amazing. a nice end to another nice day.
gorgeous 😀
