Day 97 Deschambault-Levis
There is something about the pitter patter of rain in the night that makes for blissful sleep. I forgot to tell my internal alarm clock that today was an easy day and we were going to get a late start which means I was up at my usual 5:30. It’s all good though I got some much not needed internet time in 🙂
I had a wonderful breakfast and an even better conversation with Francine and Gilles my lovely Innkeepers.
Say hello to Francine and Gilles, lovely people with a lovely BnB.
The ride to Levis was nice and relaxing even though the villages I went through were not at quaint as the ones of the previous days. Traffic got a little busier as I got closer to Quebec City as well luckily I was turning off before as my hostel is across the Chaudiere River from Quebec City.
Getting close I’ll be crossing over the bridge on the left to get to Levis
This big fatty was crossing the same time I was. Was that a hint that I have stopped for one too many ice creams on this trip… Can’t be 😉
Levis is home to the Parc des Chutes-de-la-Chaudière a 35m high falls that also has a suspension bridge to cross the river.
After some time enjoying the falls along with my peti twist ice cream cone I made that last 2km trip to Auberge Jeunesse à Loulou’s my hostel and home for the next 2 nights so I can take in old Quebec tomorrow.
From what I’ve seen Old Quebec shouldn’t disappoint and I’m looking forward to seeing it in person, and of course share with all of you.
See you then
