Day 98 Quebec City
After a great rest at my hostel in Levis across the St. Lawrence River from Quebec City I was ready to get an early start and explore the old town. Mother nature had different plans and it was pouring rain all morning.
It turned out fine though and I was able to get a lot of stuff done this morning while confined to the indoors. At about 11 I say my chance and hit the road for the 15km ride to the ferry across to Old Quebec. The ride was quite pleasant and meanders along the river to the ferry literally. The bike path rides up to a velo only ticket booth where I had to wake up the attendant to sell me a ticket to much laughing (and embarrassment on his part). After passage was secured the bike path continues all the way to the deck to the boat. It was amazing how bike easy it was even in a bike friendly province.
I found Groot hiding out by the train station
That’s not the ferry boat, I’m standing on that 🙂 heading back to Levis
Au Revior Quebec City!
I met Julie on the ferry back to Levis and we joked that our bikes where opposites as mine is the largest (I’m 6′-6″) bike most companies make and hers was the smallest (she’s 5′ even). Look how little her bike is 🙂
I know these houses are right on the river and it’s beautiful but there is know way in hell I would live under a shell rock cliff especially if the government thinks it needs to be netted!
Groot!
Yup! Its hard not to smile when you say that 🙂
