Days 124-126 St. Johns, Newfoundland
St. Johns is a cool little college town and the energy of this place reminds me of Bellingham, WA another small town filled with youthful exuberance.
The last few days were filled with exploring some of the sites,
Signal Hill: where the first trans-Atlantic radio transmission was achieved and Cape Spear: The farthest point in all of North America!
There was more hanging out with the Ruru’s and Jen and a lots of stories shared. Its been a great few days!
Tomorrow I’m off to explore some of the hinterlands of Newfoundland for a few days before I start my trek south. With the main goal of seeing the Puffins! Hopefully I’ll be able to catch a picture of one of those magnificent creatures.
Me on top of Signal Hill, it was a steep 20 minute climb but well worth it for the breathtaking views.
An exhibit at the Rooms museum/gallery by Jenny Yu based on the Hitchcock movie “The Birds”. How could you not love that, eh 🙂
Cape Spear was cold, windy and foggy but totally worth it. How could I ride all the was to Newfoundland and not go all the way to the end of North Amerrica!
Amazing accomplishment Ken!!!!
Thanks Shammy, maybe I’ll see you in Mexico 🙂
