Days 135-137 Port Hastings-New Glasgow-Truro-Halifax
The past few days riding I have been uninspired and in a general funk. I think it was mainly due to the weather and the lack of interesting new things as I was riding along the highway on a path previously ridden.
That all changed when I had the fortune to stay with Bob and Glenda in Truro, an amazing couple of travellers. THey rekindled in me why I’m doing what I’m doing and sometimes the act of sharing reminds you of yourelf. It was great to talk to them about at sorts of interesting topics that all gravitated around our philosophies on life and travel. It was a great conversation, one that I truly needed after the last few days, and I left with a hearty goodbye and a renewed vigor in my being.
With that renewed energy it was a great ride into Halifax along a side route that Bob recommended which made for some fun riding. It wasn’t long before I was crossing from Dartmouth into Halifax and checking into my Hostel. What a great day!
Leaving Port Hastings, looks a bit gloomy out there. Going to be a wet one.
Lunch break on the way to Truro. Overpasses are a luxury when it’s raining.
Here’s Bob. An absolute pleasure to spend time with him and his wife Glenda
Crossing over on the ferry from Dartmouth to Halifax and my home for the next few days.
Hi There Ken,You have not posted anything in a while ( not that it’s necessary ) but just checking in to make sure you’re okay out there on the roads.
Hi Ken,
It’s funny I am just getting ready to post an update. After a few days off I am looking forward to getting on the bike. More updates to come. Thanks for checking in.
