Days 165-166 Philadelhia, PA (Part I)
It was fun to walk around Philly and eat some of the awesome food and check out some of what this great town has to offer.
The nation’s first hospital. Pennsylvania Hospital was founded in 1751 by Dr. Thomas Bond and Benjamin Franklin
The surgical amphitheater was a bit creepy. Surgeries were only performed on sunny days between 11am and 2pm via light from the above skylight. Plan your illness accordingly.
No trip to Philly is complete without a stop to the Rocky Statue 🙂 It is as absurd as it sounds.
The Libery Bell, Independence Hall and The Philadelphia Atheaneum
The Atheaneum was dissapointing as they do not encourage people to use it, it is set up more like a private clubhouse.
