Days 4-5 and a border crossing
So I woke up early Tuesday morning and still felt pretty bad on the stomach front, but ate what I could for the trek to Vancouver BC. On another sad note I learned a valuable lesson in recording, that is to not ever place your recorder on your phone as the RF signal will create interference and noise rendering your recording useless. So my friends I will not be posting my conversation with Eric much to my dismay but thems the breaks.
I did have a few issues at the border getting into Canada. They were not very keen on having a homeless unemployed guy coming to spend 4 months in their country. So after some super pleading on my part they finally let me into Canada and I can continue on with my plan!
Getting to Vancouver too a little while and I passed a few things and got my first introduction to what the GPS considers a navigable trail! (It’s hard to see in the photo but that is about a 40% incline)
It is always fun cross a long bridge 🙂
And after some time I finally got to my hostel around 4.
Had a really good conversation with my hostel mate Damian about touring. He gave me some great tips and a lots of ideas about the direction I go. I’ll mull it over as I go east.
The next morning was eventful as I was staying with a host relatively close-by I had an easy day planned which started with a ride around Stanley Park (of course).
And then finally made it to New Westminster my home for the night. I will post an audio for today in the morning, I’m too tired! I promise I figure out this workflow and be more consistent on the updates.
Until then…
