Days 43-44 Kindersley-Rosetown-Saskatoon
My intention was to leave Kindersley and ride straight through to Saskatoon. My body had a different idea and after a long day of rolling climbs I was exhausted at the halfway mark which just so happened to be Rosetown.
Here are the highlights of day 43:
And a shot of downtown Rosetown. It has been interesting going through rural Canada. There are not that many towns, definitely not like the US, so when you come across a place like this that has all the amenities it’s a nice treat. Keep in mind there are more people in California that all of Canada which makes for lots of open space.
The forecast for toady called for rain all day. As I was having breakfast it was still sunny so I decided to race the storm and take advantage of the tailwind. Everything worked as planned up until the last 30km to Saskatoon when it started pouring rain and if that wasn’t enough the wind shifted to a nasty headwind which slowed me down tremendously.
I don’t have any shots of entering the city as it was pouring but here are a few from today and I will be sure to take some around town tomorrow as I’ll be hanging around for a day or two to rest and explore.
Until next time…
Enjoy a bit of needed rest in that little town, Ken. Very best to you on this journey!
Thank you Bert! It’s been amazing so far 🙂
