All ready to set out on the road to the Olympic Peninsula. Looking forward to getting on the bike for even a small tour.
Waiting in Edmonds for the Ferry over to Kingston.
Thankfully it has stopped raining.
The fog was crazy on the ferry ride over. Literally couldn’t see anything in front of us. Here is what the ferry terminal looked liked when we were almost on it.
And here are a few pics from the ride up to Sequim Bay State Park where I camped for the night.

The Olympic Discovery Trail is pretty awesome it took me almost all the way from Sequim to port Angeles and was pretty beautiful to boot.
Here are a few more from Sequim as I was going through it

And here is the trail as I was coming into Port Angeles, it’s right along the water which makes for some easy miles.

A motel in Port Angeles across from my breakfast spot. I like that sign.
Along the way to lake Crescent.

The road to Sol Duc Falls is just up from Lake Crescent and then 13 miles into the Olympics, which was a nice quiet and beautiful ride.

And my camp site at Sol Duc Falls
Which came with this amazing view. Not to shabby.
A detail of interesting bark striations.
The Sol Duc Hot Springs were a pretty popular attraction. It’s $12 to get in, luckily I found a pass on the ground when I arrived so free hot springs were in order for this guy 🙂
Then I took a hike up to the Sol Duc Falls, only 3 miles from camp, but tiring nonetheless with bike legs.
